Library and Information Center

Welcome to the university of Arusha library and information center. We are an institution focused at offering professional and satisfactory services to both researchers and general readers. However we are anchored on the rock, Jesus Christ in our holistic human development policy. The library has a books and E-books.

Monday – Tuesday & Thursday 8:30am – 9:00pm
Wednesday 8:30am – 5:00pm & Night 7:00pm – 9:00pm
Friday 8:30am – 1:00pm

Membership
To be a member of the University library, you must be a registered student of the University  of Arusha.

THERE ARE FOUR MAIN SECTION

REFERENCE SECTIONS
Readers are allowed into the room for a maximum of two hours. Books must be read and left at the room table. Services are offered between 8:30am and 5:00pm only.

SPECIAL RESERVE
You must sign up against a book for maximum of two hours. On returning the book the user must ensure that the library staff in-charge signs to certify the returning of the book. It can be reissued provided no booking has been done, by another user and it can be read anywhere in the library. 

NEWS PAPER AND JOURNALS.
Newspapers must be read at the Newspaper table and be left there they should never be carried away to any section in the library journal can be read anywhere within the library.

MAIN HALL
Books can be taken from the shelves to be read here.

INTERNET SERVICES
Internet services are available in the library

  • Only library computers are used to access
  • Users are allowed to use the computers for 3hours a day
  • In case these are no booking unlimited access is owed
  • Wireless service as also available strategically around the library building unlimited to all who must use their own computer.
